Mugwump is an Algonquin Indian word meaning "Big Cheese" or Important
Person" and your little person is important to us. We are two sisters based just outside
Preston, Lancashire, who began by learning to face paint our own children and now
offer our face painting and temporary tattoo service to a wider market. We believe that
a little bit of sparkle goes a long way towards creating a real 'Wow' factor for our
designs. Please check out the 'Gallery' for a very small example of our work. We have a
full range of paint colours, including metallic paints, and also a wide selection of
irridescent powders and glitters to make fairies sparkle and robots shine!
We only use 'Snazaroo' paints and inks, one of
the worlds leading manufacturers of face paints,
and every product is recommended by the
F.P.A ( Face Painting Association). All paints
and inks are water based and therefore as safe
to kids skin as possible. However, if your child
has sensitive skin or a dry skin condition such
as eczema, it may not be advisable to paint their
face. For further information about face painting
children with sensitive skin, please feel free to
contact us.

For children who are unable to have their faces
painted another option could be a temporary
tattoo, which covers much smaller and more
discreet area! Temporary tattooes are done
using a stencil and again, water based inks. If
they are not rubbed at, tattooes will last up to 5
days. However if you wish to remove them
sooner all that is needed is soap, warm water
and a flannel.
